Sketchbook: St. Michael, an update

I recently posted the sketch of St. Michael I was working on for a friend.  In recent weeks I did add the devil into the mix and thought I'd post the updated image.  Just for reference, when I think of devils, I usually see them as faun-like creatures.  You know, the half man, half goat mythical beings.  And when I think of goats, I tend to think of the long horned rams with the big spiraled horns.  Thus, I drew a faun looking devil with slightly curved horns instead of a weird looking red dude with a creepy mustache.

I have also sketched in a background concept.  It's fairly crude, so pardon the scribbles.

Sketchbook: St. Michael

Recently I was asked by a friend to come up with a drawing of St. Michael defeating the devil.  To be completely honest, it has been a while since I've done a drawing of a figure, but it has turned out to be a nice change of pace.  I'm pretty happy with it so far.  I've still got some tweaking to do, and the devil to add, but I thought I would post a peek of the progress thus far.

Sketchbook: tongues?

I've been coming up with some sketches for my upcoming shows.  For some reason, my favorites have their tongues sticking out.
