Mission Completed: Another Valentine

As Valentine's Day is drawing closer, it was becoming more and more apparent that the "Because I Love You" card was probably not the best option to send to my 3 year-old nephew. Since I like to send my niece and nephew little surprise packages filled with holiday goodies, I really needed to come up with an illustration a bit more appropriate. This is what I've come up with for the little guy. He LOVES trains. I'm not sure about his feelings towards giraffes, though I'm sure they are more positive than not. I still need to come up with something for the niece. Gotta go fill up some more sketch book pages!

Mission Completed: Mini Paintings

As mentioned in the previous post, I spent most of yesterday working on these little guys. I may get some mini frames for them. They will be posted for sale soon! Until then, here's a peek!

Feline Friday: a studio companion

I spent the majority of the day yesterday working on some mini paintings. The desk in the studio is strategically placed next to the heating vent so I can stay cozy while working on projects. Mr. F decided to be my studio companion yesterday and took up residence on the vent, defeating the purpose of my desk placement. Happy Friday!

In the Studio: Minimize

I finally got around to clearing off my work desk in the studio. This has been long overdue. Last night I utilized my freshly cleaned desk by making a mess and a small army of mini paintings. This is the progress thus far. The brightly colored backgrounds patiently await the application of their subjects.

Feline Friday: Heads Up

I'm still working out the kinks in the character sketches I posted a few weeks ago. The cat went through some minor changes. I've been working mainly on the face and a couple of expressions. He's still in rough condition, but is looking little more streamlined. Happy Friday!
